Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to make them work, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. Some cookies are essential. Others are optional and you can turn them off. This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on ordex.uk, why they are used, and how you can manage them.

2. Who Sets Them

Some cookies are set by Ordex (first-party). Others are set by trusted third parties used to deliver parts of this website (third-party). All third parties referenced below are listed in the table in section 4. Ordex is the data controller for first-party cookies. Each third party is the controller for any cookies it sets through this website. Contact: hello@ordex.uk · 07476 601196

3. Legal Basis

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR: • Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. • Analytics, functionality, and marketing cookies require your consent. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time by clearing cookies through your browser, or by following the opt-out steps in section 5.

4. Cookies and Storage Used on ordex.uk

Strictly necessary • ordex-offer-dismissed:* — set by ordex.uk in your browser's localStorage when you dismiss a promotional banner. No personal data. Stays until cleared. • theme — set by ordex.uk in your browser's localStorage to remember light or dark mode. No personal data. Stays until cleared. Analytics • _ga, _ga_* — set by Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site usage (pages viewed, session length, traffic source). Does not personally identify you. Typically expires after 2 years. Functional / marketing (only set if you interact with the chat or booking form) • Cookies set by GoHighLevel ("LeadConnector" / api.leadconnectorhq.com) when the chat widget loads or you submit the enquiry form. Used to operate the chat session, store form state, and route leads to the Ordex CRM. Expiry varies; typically session-based or up to 12 months. If we add or change any cookie, this list will be updated.

5. How to Manage or Refuse Cookies

Browser controls You can block, delete, or restrict cookies at any time through your browser settings. Helpful guides: • Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647 • Safari: support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/sfri11471 • Firefox: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox • Edge: support.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-edge Opt out of Google Analytics You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to stop GA4 from collecting your data on any website. Local storage Items kept in your browser's localStorage (theme preference, dismissed banners) can be removed through the same browser data tools used for cookies. Effect of refusing cookies Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off without the website breaking. Turning off other cookies will not stop you using ordex.uk, but some interactions (chat, banner state, analytics) may behave differently.

6. Do Not Track

Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no agreed UK standard for how websites should respond to DNT, so ordex.uk does not change its behaviour based on the DNT header. You can still control cookies using the methods in section 5.

7. International Transfers

Some third parties used by ordex.uk (notably Google and GoHighLevel) may process data outside the UK or EEA. These transfers rely on standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent safeguards required under UK GDPR.

8. Your Rights

You have rights over the personal data collected through cookies, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your data, and to withdraw consent. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy at ordex.uk/privacy. To exercise any right, email hello@ordex.uk. Ordex will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be at ordex.uk/cookies. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
